ANA DIGIALLONARDO | GOVERNESS
The Echo Park shop welcomes Ana DiGiallonardo for an exhibit of her newest series 'Governess', an ode to the famous desert inhabitant, Creosote. Creosote’s Spanish name is ‘Gobernadora’, which translates to ‘Governess’. It is a strong, beautiful, and bountiful plant found only in the American Southwest and parts of Mexico. She is the beauty of the desert, filling the air with her iconic fragrance on dewy mornings or rainy days. Ana highlights the iconic yellow flower and green leaves of the creosote in front of the vast desert sky in abstract form. She aims to depict how organic forms are ever-changing in nature, whether it be from the elements or time.
