From the Shark's Mouth

Grandaddy to the great white, Megalodon sharks held dominion over the high seas between 15.9 to 2.6 million years ago. It’s no exaggeration to say these guys ruled; they swam all over the world, could grow up to 59 ft in length, and are considered by scientists to be one of the most fearsome predators EVER (a scientific term, obviously). Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about sharing the waters with a Megalodon on your next beach trip, but you can spot their gorgeous, imposing teeth right here on the site, or at our Oakland shop. We source them from divers in South Carolina, who find them in riverbeds and polish them up to reveal a variety of rich hues in the fossils. We scatter them around our tables and shelves to add a little power to the room, but they’d make a pretty badass paperweight, too.
