SPOTLIGHT: COMMUNION BY JOY

We are overjoyed (pun intended) to have Joy Smith back to our Echo Park location! Joy is the designer and maker of the gorgeous line of modern bohemian jewels she so rightfully named Communion. Webster’s defines communion as “an act of sharing; an intimate fellowship or rapport.” Joy is inspired to make her jewelry through communing with the spirit in nature, animals and people. “I meditate before creating my designs and allow myself to be used as a creative vessel… I love to make jewelry that carries an energy of inner-strength and contains power from the designs or the stones I set into them.” Using the art of lost-wax carving, she then creates unique and textural fine jewelry pieces that embody this spirit.

Joy will be in the Echo Park shop THIS SATURDAY from 11am until 6pm. She’ll be bringing the latest additions to her collection and so many one of a kind rings set with a rainbow of precious gemstones! Come meet Joy, have some light refreshments, and experience the beauty of Communion.
