MELISSA JOY MANNING launched her namesake line in 1997 after studying traditional silversmithing at the Instituto de Allende in Mexico, and European design principles at the University of Barcelona. The socially responsible fine jewelry brand features unique, modern designs influenced by Melissa’s passion for travel, art and culture.

Each piece is handmade to order, in the MJM Berkeley (Green Certified by the state of CA) or New York studios, by skilled artisans using traditional, time-honored techniques. As the co-chair of the CFDA Sustainability Committee, and as an advisory board member to Lexus/CFDA Fashion Positive and Nest, Melissa continues to push the manufacturing processes of the fashion and jewelry worlds towards sustainability.
