Pop the champagne - today we're officially launching ESQUELETO's latest lookbook, The Temple Collection! We invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy a visual journey to the Pulgas Water Temple, where we styled not one, but two gorgeous models for this aquatic adventure in jewelry. The Pulgas Water Temple was built as a monument to the engineering feat that brought water 160 miles across California from the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the Bay Area. The frieze above the Corinthian columns is inscribed with the phrase, “I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people.” As an homage to the magnificent monument, our models were styled in earthy desert tones and stacked high with glittering jewels reminiscent of the crystal waters within the pool.
The Temple Collection was shot on a sweltering day in September by photographer Ramon Felix. Models are Charis Briley and Chetna Mehta wearing bathing suits by Samantha Pleet and silk sets by Ali Golden. Philippa Shenandoah was on hair and makeup. Styling and direction were done by our very own Lauren Wolf as assisted by Kayla Ogden.
